Description: In order to solicit farmer input regarding University research and extension programs, PATS asked a series of questions about the research and extension programs at the University of Wisconsin in the 1999 Wisconsin Dairy Farm Poll. When asked to indicate where public agricultural research resources should be targeted, an overwhelming majority of respondents agreed that government supported research should help all types of farms whenever possible. Diary farmers responded most favorable to the idea of focusing on small and medium-sized farms.
