PATS
PATS co-director Jack Kloppenburg presents on local food systems at a policy lunch gathering.

PATS has many ongoing research and outreach projects. This page highlights important projects that have resulted in recent publications or events. Please contact us if you would like information on the status of a particular project that is not listed on this page.

During the past year, PATS faculty and staff have focused their efforts on three subject areas pertinent to Wisconsin agriculture: the rise in immigrant labor on Wisconsin dairy farms, the impacts of current and future bioenergy production, and the expansion and viability of alternative dairy production systems. Despite some variation, these three areas reflect trends in agricultural production practices that may have significant social and environmental implications for Wisconsin.
