Social and economic research is the core of our work at PATS. We study the impacts of technological change and public policies on family farms through periodic surveys of farm households, focus groups and public input meetings with farmers and rural citizens. Findings from these research activities are published in formats ranging from in-depth reports using state-of-the-art research methods to brief summaries emphasizing practical implications for public and private decision-makers.
